Agreement to Terms

By using the KrapMaps mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use KrapMaps. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

Acceptable Use

When using KrapMaps, you agree NOT to:

  • Submit false or misleading bin locations
  • Upload inappropriate or illegal content
  • Harass or harm other users
  • Use automated tools to manipulate points or rankings
  • Violate any applicable laws
  • Impersonate other users or provide false information

Intellectual Property and Data Protection

Our Rights

  • KrapMaps owns all rights to the app, including the bin location database
  • The aggregated bin location data is proprietary to KrapMaps
  • All content, features, and functionality are owned by KrapMaps

Prohibited Activities

You expressly agree NOT to:

Data Scraping and Harvesting:
  • Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to extract bin location data
  • Download or copy substantial portions of our bin database
  • Use our API in violation of rate limits or terms
  • Systematically collect data for commercial purposes without authorization
Data Resale and Commercial Use:
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense KrapMaps data to third parties
  • Create derivative databases using our bin location data
  • Use scraped data to build competing services
  • Commercialize any data obtained from KrapMaps without written permission
Unauthorized Access:
  • Attempt to access non-public portions of the app or database
  • Probe, scan, or test system vulnerabilities
  • Bypass any access controls or rate limiting measures
  • Reverse engineer the app or its algorithms

Authorized Use of Data

  • Users may view bin locations within the app for personal, non-commercial use
  • Users may report bins, verify locations, and contribute photos as intended
  • Business partnerships and data licensing require written agreement with KrapMaps
Violation of these terms will result in:
  • Immediate account termination
  • Legal action for damages and injunctive relief
  • Potential criminal prosecution for unauthorized access

Points, Achievements, and Prizes

  • Points are awarded for verified contributions
  • We reserve the right to adjust or remove points at our discretion
  • Prize eligibility is subject to verification
  • Points have no cash value and cannot be transferred
  • Fraudulent activity will result in point forfeiture and account termination

Premium Subscriptions

  • Premium features are available via subscription
  • Subscriptions are processed through Google Play
  • Prices: $4.99/month or $49.99/year
  • Auto-renewal can be canceled anytime in Google Play settings
  • No refunds for partial periods
  • Premium benefits are subject to change with notice

User-Generated Content

Your Content

  • You retain ownership of photos and content you upload
  • You grant KrapMaps a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content
  • You represent that you have rights to any content you upload
  • KrapMaps may remove content that violates these terms

Content Guidelines

  • Photos must show public bins
  • No offensive, illegal, or inappropriate content
  • No copyrighted material without permission
  • No private property or sensitive locations

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

  • KrapMaps is provided "AS IS" without warranties
  • We do not guarantee accuracy of bin locations
  • Bin locations may be outdated or incorrect
  • Use bin location information at your own risk
  • We are not liable for injuries, damages, or losses from using the app
  • Maximum liability limited to amount paid for premium subscription (if any)

Privacy

Your use of KrapMaps is subject to our Privacy Policy available at krapmaps.app/privacy

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without notice, for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent or abusive behavior
  • Data scraping or unauthorized commercial use
  • Repeated violations of community guidelines

You may delete your account at any time via the app settings or by contacting us.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of KrapMaps shall be resolved through:

  1. Good faith negotiation
  2. Binding arbitration if negotiation fails
  3. Courts of England and Wales for any matters not subject to arbitration
