• Payment Information: Processed securely through Apple's App Store (we do not store your payment details)

• Location Data: Your device's location when you use the map feature (with your permission)
• Usage Data: App interactions, features used, session duration, points earned
• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers
• Analytics Data: Crash reports, performance data, feature usage statistics

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide Core Features: Display nearby bins, enable bin contributions, show leaderboards
• Personalize Experience: Save your preferences, maintain your profile, track achievements
• Enable Social Features: Display your username and contributions on leaderboards and public maps

• Calculate distances to bins
• Auto-fill city information when adding bins

Your Control

You can control location permissions in your device settings. Disabling location will limit map functionality but you can still browse the app and view bin locations manually.

4. Sharing Your Information

4.1 Public Information

The following information is visible to other KrapMaps users:

• Your username and profile emoji
• Your position on leaderboards (if you're in top rankings)
• Bin locations you've added
• Travel tips you've submitted
• Your tier level and badges

4.2 Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google): Database storage, authentication, analytics
• Apple App Store: Payment processing for Premium subscriptions
• Map Services: Display maps and location features

4.3 We Never Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Security

We implement security measures to protect your information:

• Passwords are encrypted and never stored in plain text
• Data transmission uses industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/SSL)
• Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only

Access and Update

You can access and update your account information within the app settings at any time.

Delete Your Account

You can request account deletion by contacting us at support@krapmaps.app. We will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where required by law to retain it.

Opt-Out of Communications

You can opt out of promotional emails by following the unsubscribe link in any email or adjusting notification settings in the app.

Location Permissions

You can disable location access at any time in your device settings: Settings → Privacy → Location Services → KrapMaps

7. Children's Privacy

KrapMaps is rated 4+ and suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

8. Data Retention

• Account Data: Retained while your account is active
• Contributions: Bin locations and travel tips may remain on the platform to benefit other users, but will be anonymized if you delete your account
• Analytics Data: Retained for up to 2 years
• Deleted Accounts: Personal data deleted within 30 days of request

9. International Users

KrapMaps is available worldwide. If you use our app from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using KrapMaps, you consent to this transfer.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of KrapMaps after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
